A Chinese tradition is to give your children money in a red envelope on Chinese New Year. I plan on doing this and saving their envelopes for when they are older. For those who do not know, Chinese New Year lasts two weeks and everything shuts down. The government offices close. Everyone simply spends time with their family. And, I hear, there are really awesome festivals.

Even though we don't have our little girl home yet, we celebrated a little for Chinese New Year as well. I sent her a hong bao in the mail and we ate fish and dumplings at home. Happy lunar new year!
Yummy and so fun! Love all of the pictures! Did you see my e-mail I sent you? No pressure. Just wanted to make sure it didn't hit your spam! ;o)
