I have had this blog for a while but have done nothing with it. The longer I wait to get started the more my kids change and I don't have any of it documented. I want this to be a way for me to remember things one day.
As I am typing my daughter is running around the living room singing at the top of her lungs as usual. She loves to sing. I got home at 3 this morning. As I was walking down the hallway, Olivia sits up in her bed and says all chippery that she was waiting for me to get home. She asks me to go get my pjs on and come lay down with her for "a bit." So, that is what we did, even though I thought I was going to pass out from exhaustion.
Carson has finally begun to walk all on his own. He has been doing this for a couple of weeks now. He is so proud of himself. He walks somewhere and starts giggling and smiling from ear to ear.
Logan has finally started talking instead of grunting. He is putting more and more words together to make little sentences. It is so cute. He is fascinated by motorcycles. We will be in the car, and you would think someone is hurt when he starts screaming at the top of his lungs, "CYCLE, CYCLE, CYCLE."
We will be busy this weekend. Tomorrow David is going to start building Olivia's new bed. She is downsizing to a twin bed since she will be sharing a room with her sister that we hope will be home before Christmas. Then he will begin working on the boys' beds and furniture for their room. I ordered the girls bedding the other day. It is the cutest thing. I can't wait to get the room all painted and redone. It is something they will be able to keep for a long time. I haven't seen anything for the boys' room that catches my eye yet. But I am sure I will find something soon.
We are all so excited about our adoption. For those who do not know. We are in the middle of an international adoption from Taiwan. We have everything completed and are waiting for our referral. We will be having a yard sale next weekend to try and raise more funds for the cost. So, if you have anything you would like to donate let me know.
Olivia just finished her first soccer season. The Wolverines came in second place. They did such a good job for 4 and 5 year olds. Now she is ready to move onto her horse riding lessons. I guess we will get started on that pretty soon. Always something. It was all we could do to keep Logan off the field while Olivia was playing. I think he will be a real natural; he already knows how to dribble the ball up and down the field. He will love it, but will have to wait a couple more years until he is old enough.
Better go and enjoy the rest of the night.
